Rights Respecting Global Citizens (RRGC) - Training Course for Rights Respecting Schools and Schools Engaged in Childrens Rights Work in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset

The DEED Rights-Respecting Global Citizens course is designed to embed Global Citizenship within the whole school ethos, curriculum and governance of schools in Dorset and the southwest as part of their Rights Respecting Schools Journey. The training course delivers a comprehensive, innovative and challenging programme of whole school training, advice and resources to support Headteachers, Senior Leaders, teaching staff and pupils as young Global Evaluators to significantly raise awareness of Global Justice and Sustainability.

The Millennium Development Goals - what can we do to reduce global poverty by 2015? Come along to a half day training event for KS2 and above teaching staff to be held in Wimborne on 1st February to 2012. Local schools and the British Red Cross will be sharing activities and resources to support your work in the classroom. Click here for flyer and more information. The Rights Respecting Schools Celebration 2011 - was held on 17 Oct 2011. See photos from the afternoon here.

The Gillingham Area Schools Partnership (GASP) started their Rights Respecting Global Citizens course with us in 2011.  More than 70 teachers from 8 schools took part in a day training event at Gillingham Primary School.  See photos here.

The new eco garden at St. John's First School, Wimborne.

The garden has been created so each class has the benefit
their own vegetable path, to learn how to grow their own 
food and to understand the importance of sustainability.
