Workshops for Children

DEED offers a wide range of workshops for children, young people and families in schools and Early Years settings linked to Global Citizenship and Multicultural Britain. All our workshops have relevant curriculum links and highlight the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Our team of experienced and accredited global education trainers will design a course to suit your needs, age group, budget and timescale.

Do not be put off by the dates on some of the flyers we can deliver the content any time. See also previous training and workshops for a flavour of work we have been involved in and can still deliver on request.

Fabulous Fairtrade

fairtrade5PoWIn these workshops children and pupils investigate the impact and benefits of Fair Trade seen through the eyes of children around the world.  Simulation games enable children to role play the production of cocoa, find out about the journey of a banana, hold a fair-trade fashion show, wear fair-trade cotton and explore the life of a fairmined gold miner.   See the Fabulous Fairtrade Flyer for further details.

Multicultural Britain

Multicultural Britain timelineThese workshops give pupils a chance to explore present day identity and diversity in Britain as well as looking at historical perspectives through a timeline of 2,000 years.  Activities and resources for all ages enable children to make individual and family portraits and explore Children of Britain who are just like me.
