Introduction to Global Learning

GLP_Approved Training_RGBDEED is offering this introductory course as an in school twilight or half day inset to support teachers in their work to engage children with real issues and help them understand their position in an increasingly globalised world.  We will work with staff to explore global issues, such as interdependence, and share resources to support classroom practice to empower children and develop positive attitudes and values.

The course will explore the key concepts associated with global learning and explore practical classroom activities and resources for connecting children with the wider world, enabling them to challenge potential negative stereotypes.  As a result we hope that staff will feel supported and be more able to make links between global learning, their curriculum and other whole school initiatives.

This bespoke training is delivered in school at times to suit you.  It is accredited by The Global Learning Programme and registered schools can use e-credits.  See course flyer for further details.

‘From the outset this was a very practical session which promoted what would be seen in best practice with children (e.g. encouraging critical thinking, discussion, collaborative learning, questioning, open-mindedness)’ – Headteacher at Springdale First School and Poole SCITT mentor.
